Purdue University is hiring more than 100 new engineering professors as part of an effort to move the school to the top of the engineering field.

October 8, 2012: IWU Announces School of Health Sciences
Indiana Wesleyan University has created its fifth principal academic unit. The school has dedicated a five-story science and nursing building in Marion. When completed, it will be the cornerstone of the School of Health Sciences. IWU says plans call for the school to offer graduate degrees in several areas including athletic training and occupational therapy.

According to the social media analysis firm VoterTide, the subject of education generated the most tweets in the first presidential debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney. Health care was a close second and jobs a distant third. Numbers represent tweets mentioning each candidate by name.
